Dr.
D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981) is recognized as one of the 20th
century's most gifted preachers and writers. He served as
pastor at the Presbyterian Church at
Sandfields from 1927 to 1938 and later as senior minister of
Westminster Chapel in London for 25 years. During this time he
preached extensively in the United States and Europe. He became ill in
1968 and took it as a sign to retire from the position at Westminster
Chapel and devote himself more to writing. Through his devotional
writings, commentaries and other books, Lloyd-Jones has had a profound
influence upon the church and the lives of thousands worldwide.
